Zafer Galibov is a Bulgarian art photographer.

He has an MA degree in both Culturology at Sofia University Kliment Ohridski and Electrical Engineering in Sofia Technical University.

Galibov worked at the Lada and Nasha Rodina magazines, the Little City Theatre at the Channel, the National Gallery for Foreign Art and at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Department Digitization of the Cultural Heritage of the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics. Galibov taught art- and press-photography at the Faculty of Journalism of Sofia University and photography at 134 School “Dimcho Debelyanov” in Sofia.

He has made numerous exhibitions in Paris, Wien, Tel Aviv, Salzburg, Helsinki, Moscow, Warsaw, Thessaloniki etc. He published an own photoalbum and is included in the book Contemporary Bulgarian Art and 100 New Names in Photography by Photobuch, Cologne.

Zafer is interested in jazz, travelling, dances, cinema. He himself participated in professional dance competitions; he travelled a lot in Europe but also to Israel, Russia, Argentina, India, Tibet, the Himalaya mountain and the Antarctic among others.

Some of his awards and certificates include a bronze medal from UNESCO, a medal of the Lithuanian Photography Association, Etude Tajan Certificate for art valuer at the auction house of the same name.

Zafer Galibov is, at present, PhD at the Institute for Art Studies of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
